Why don't you have a storefront?
Plain and simple...$$. We would love to have a storefront some day. For now, we are a home-based bakery, registered with the Arizona Department of Health Services. Home-based does have its advantages though. Because we bake to order, each individual order can be customized to exactly what the client wants and will always be fresh.

How far in advance should I place my order?
We do have full-time jobs outside our baking, so please give us at least ten days notice. We understand there may be last minute requests and can sometimes accomodate these requests, depending on the amount ordered. We cannot fill same day orders. All items must be ordered in dozen quantities, one or more flavors per dozen, unless special arrangements have been made. (For example, one dozen red velvet, one dozen vanilla, etc.)  All orders less than $100 can be paid for at the time of ordering or at pickup. If your order is over $100, the entire amount must be paid when your order is placed. The exception is weddings and corporate or non-profit events. What type of ingredients do you use?
We use quality ingredients like real butter; Ghirardelli, Valrhona and Guittard chocolate/cocoa powder and our own pure Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla. We do not add preservatives to our baked goods. We do not use dark colored dyes in our frosting.

I'm concerned about allergies. What do your products come into contact with?
While everything is cleaned and sanitized prior to the start of baking, our products, including frostings, may come into contact with eggs, dairy, soy, wheat, chocolate, and/or nuts or nut products (including peanut butter and oils). Please ask if you have specific concerns. If you are purchasing our product for parties or large groups of people, it is your responsibility to inform your guests of this. We do not guarantee our product to be allergen free and are not responsible for any allergic reactions.

Do you have products free of nuts or peanut butter?
We do have items that do not contain nuts or peanut butter (chocolate chip cookies, angel crisp cookies, snickerdoodles, oatmeal cookies, brownies, pumpkin bread and lemon blueberry bread, to name a few); however, we cannot guarantee that our products have not come into contact with some form of tree nut or peanut butter, as we do have these ingredients in our kitchen. Again, if you are purchasing our product for parties or large groups of people, it is your responsibility to inform your guests of this. We do not guarantee our product to be allergen free and are not responsible for any allergic reactions.

Do you make sugar-free, vegan, dairy free or gluten-free cupcakes?
We do not have sugar-free, dairy free or vegan products at this time. We do have a few gluten free items. We are always working on new recipes, so we will have more to offer in the future. We will not add an item to our menu until we are pleased with the results.

How long does your product stay fresh?
Our cupcakes, as with all our baked goods, are baked to order and never frozen. They are best eaten the same day or within 2-3 days. If you will not be eating them the same day, wrap the packaging in plastic wrap or place the cupcakes or other items in an airtight container.

How should I store my cupcakes, cookies, brownies, etc. when I get them?
Cupcakes are best served at room temperature. If you aren't going to eat them the day you get them, wrap the packaging in plastic wrap or transfer them to an airtight container to keep them fresh. However, with our clamshell packaging, we have found that they have been fine leaving on the counter overnight. Do not refrigerate, unless refrigeration is specified because of the type of frosting or filling. Cookies and brownies should also be stored in airtight containers at room temperature. Soft cookies and crisp cookies should not be stored in the same container.

Why do you use plastic containers instead of bakery boxes?
There are a few reasons -- cupcakes and cardboard/chipboard don't play well together. When stored in a pastry box, the cardboard begins to suck the moisture out of the cake. We discovered this first-hand when we noticed that the bottom of a bakery box that cupcakes had been stored in for several hours had warped and felt damp. Since we don't bake with preservatives, the long-term quality of our cupcakes is important and that is why we use the recyclable plastic clam-shell packaging. We have also found that the cupcakes fit more snugly in the clam-shell packaging so there is less tippage (is that a word?!) when transporting them.

How about the freezer?
Because we bake to order, we do not freeze any of our products and cannot attest to the quality or taste should you choose to do so.  However, we have heard from customers that they have wrapped their cupcakes in plastic wrap or placed them in an airtight container and placed them in the freezer. Before serving, they have let the cupcakes come to room temperature and they say they have been perfectly fine.

Character cupcakes?
We do not offer character cupcakes at this time. However, we can provide a topper decoration that you can insert into your cupcakes prior to displaying them. These can be customized with favorite animals, super heroes, cartoon characters, etc. Visit our Cupcake Gallery to see a few more examples.  (See photo at right.)

Do you do weddings?
Yes! We would be more than happy to provide cupcakes, cookies, etc. for your special day. Cupcake pricing for special events is the same as our regular price. Check our wedding information page for additional info.

We have a limited budget; can you still work with us?
Absolutely! Just let us know what your budget is when you initially contact us, so we can provide options that will fit within your budget.

Do you have cupcake stands we can rent?
We do. Please contact us for what is available.  There will be the stand rental fee plus a cash deposit. The deposit will be returned to you upon return of the stands in the condition they left us in. If there is any damage to the stands and/or they have not been cleaned, the deposit will not be refunded. Contact us if you would like to see photos of the stands we have.

Do you deliver?
We don't deliver for several reasons. However, nothing is ever set in stone, so discuss this with us.

Do you ship your cupcakes by mail?
Shipping is not available at this time.

Do you make "grown up" cupcakes with alcohol in them?
Other than vanilla extract (which is alcohol-based), we do not make cupcakes with alcohol in them.

Will you make adult-themed cupcakes?
No. We choose not to make anything that may be offensive to any of our customers.
